2. Ultimate Speedway Challenge
When: 16 March Where: Murray Machining & Sheds Speedway, Murray Bridge Superloop Adelaide 500 has zoomed to a finish, but there’s another racing event getting car enthusiasts revved up. There are 3 categories in the Ultimate Speedway Challenge – sprint cars, late models and speed cars. Behind the wheel of these high-powered race cars are professional drivers vying to take out the prize money and, of course, the title of the Ultimate Speedway Challenger. When: 17 March (1st and 3rd Sunday each month) Where: The Farm Shed Museum & Tourist Centre, Yorke Peninsula All aboard! That’s your final call to sit and enjoy a rail ride that’s different to your usual Adelaide Metro journey, on a miniature train handmade by Copper Coast Region Old Machinery and Engineering Club. Departing from Kadina’s Matta Flat Station, these miniature machines embark on a trip around the equally minuscule railway. Hear all about how these pint-sized trains are made and, don’t worry, they may be small but they’re suitable to ride for all ages. More details
