The RAA President’s Cruise has been created just for our members. Here are three reasons we think it’s the holiday of a lifetime.
1. An inside peek of Alaska
There’s nothing quite like cruising the stunning Inside Passage to make you feel miniature against Alaska’s towering glaciers around you. You could say it’s a rite of passage – a must-do on any Alaskan cruise itinerary. And on day three of this journey, you’ll cruise this stunning coastal route for an inside peek into Alaska while aboard Holland America Line’s ms Eurodam. At this time of year, mountains turn autumn shades of gold and yellow as patches of snow collect at their peaks, and you can see all of this and more as the ship makes its way through the passage. Many cruisers also describe travelling through here as smooth as glass, which always makes for a more pleasant and comfier experience at sea.2. Admire the stunning scenery from different angles
The journey doesn’t end after seven nights at sea. You’ll also go on a 20-minute panoramic seaplane flight over Vancouver and the North Shore mountains, plus a two-day rail journey aboard the Rocky Mountaineer in Gold Leaf luxury service, taking you from the coast of Vancouver to Banff. Slow the pace a bit with a visit to Banff National Park where you might be lucky enough to catch glimpses of grizzly bears roaming before winter hibernation, chipmunks scurrying up trees, dainty deer, and other wildlife. While you’re there, you’ll hit the water again on a scenic cruise on beautiful Lake Minniewanka, located east of the national park. These are just a few experiences waiting for you at every turn, whether you’re on water, land or in the sky.
