Join the fight to end hunger in South Australia
This October, RAA is hosting a food drive as part of its ongoing partnership with Foodbank SA to help end hunger in the state.
Supporting around 126,000 people each month in our regional communities, Foodbank SA is a South Aussie charity aiming to stop hunger.
Alongside the RAA Foodbank Mobile Food Hub (a grocery store on wheels, providing free and discounted food to people struggling in regional SA), the food drive aims to extend support and build awareness.
The initiative will see collection bins placed at every metro RAA Shop (as well as Victor Harbor), where members can drop off food items that will go to those in need.
The Mobile Food Hub will also pop up at several locations around the state, from Tea Tree Plaza to Colonnades, accepting donations from passing shoppers.
RAA Events and Sponsorship Manager, Andrew Petersen, says at RAA, we’re all about helping our local communities.
“We’re encouraging those who live in the metro area to get involved by donating goods at their nearest RAA Shop or shopping centre.
“No matter how big or small, any donation is welcome.”
Any non-perishable canned and dry goods can be dropped in the collection bins or at the Mobile Food Hub, with donations going to South Australian communities. You can also donate funds online.
