Each month, sa move brings you our pick of SA events that everyone should have on their calendar.

July 2026

Don’t let the weather rain on your parade because there’s so much happening across SA to keep you warm inside and out. Here’s our favourite events happening in July.

1. Illuminate Adelaide

When: 1–19 July
Where: Various locations

As the cold sets in, the city ignites with a riot of colour filling the streets. Watch as Illuminate Adelaide (pictured above) morphs the night sky into a luminous dreamscape where art, sound and technology collide.

Augmented Games is one such magical collision. Part video arcade part sporting arena, this multiplayer event features eight immersive games that’ll test your agility, memory and reflexes.

Discover the secrets of the ocean floor in Digital Abyss, where technology and nature respond to your very presence. RAA members get discounted tickets to both shows, but be quick, as special offer tickets are limited.

2. THINK! Road Safety SA Country Football Championships

When: 10–12 July
Where: Barossa Park, Lyndoch

Heart, hustle and hometown heroes. That’s what country communities are all about, and there’s no better celebration than the THINK! Road Safety SA Country Football Championships.

Regional footy teams from across South Australia and Broken Hill will come face-to-face on the field where, for three full days, the stakes are high, the scores are close and the action never drops the ball. The fun, mateship, and passion mean everyone goes home having kicked a goal.

3. Cuttle Shuffle Silent Disco

When: 11 July
Where:
Whyalla Maritime Gardens

Why do the Locomotion when you can do the Cuttle Shuffle? Channel your inner kaleidoscopic cuttlefish and hit the dancefloor at the Cuttle Shuffle Silent Disco.

Slip on headphones, choose your favourite tunes and shimmy the night away at this family-friendly night out.

This event is part of Cuttlefest – the annual celebration of the magnificent colour-changing molluscs. Check out the full program for all the events happening across June and July.

4. Loveday 400 Off Road Race

When: 25–27 July
Where: Loveday Adventure Park, Barmera

A little dust in your eyes is half the fun at the purpose-built Loveday 4×4 Adventure Park. You’ll be right in the thick of it as the Loveday 400 Off Road Race puts the track to good use.

See some of the fastest off-road vehicles and drivers kick up the red outback dirt in a race to the finish line. Make a weekend of it with on-site camping included in the price of the entry ticket for spectators (and kids under 12 are free). There is also plenty of food, drinks and quieter spots to catch your breath.

5. Winter Reds Festival

When: 24–26 July
Where: Balhannah, Adelaide Hills

Sip, stay and celebrate the Adelaide Hills’ finest wine and food. Don’t worry about the cold because the Winter Reds Festival, headlined by MasterChef icon and festival ambassador Matt Preston, is turning up the heat.

Savour premium cool-climate red wines, get cosy by a crackling fire and enjoy live music at the winter festival that paints the Hills Red. Hungry for more? Use your RAA membership to save on festival events, including:
