samotor to sa move
The first samotor magazine, or South Australian Motor as it was called at the time, was published in 1913.
Back then RAA was solely a motoring club, but as the 20th century progressed it evolved to include mapping, travel services and even insurance. Since then, the magazine has had several redesigns and its name tweaked.
Now, in the 21st century, RAA is entering the world of electric vehicle (EV) charging, while providing South Australians with a range of home and commercial solar and battery options. The organisation’s travel service is expanding, and our focus has grown from just motoring to other forms of mobility.
With this in mind, the samotor team set about deciding on a name to better reflect the magazine’s content. Our new name, sa move, embodies RAA’s future direction,
You’ll still find all your favourite content – albeit in a slightly different format.
As we move into the future, let’s look back at a few of the past editions.
