In the very early days of motoring, rear-view mirrors were considered an innovative safety device.
Since then, a slew of features have progressively made our time on the road safer. These include seatbelts, crumple zones, airbags and ABS.
In more recent years, the addition of hi-tech onboard devices have given our car cabins a cockpit feel.
Lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control and park assist are just a few of the gadgets that help improve the driving experience.
