Road safety message for Schoolies
Each year, South Australia’s largest youth road safety event, Street Smart High, hosts thousands of senior high school students from across the state.
Young and soon-to-be drivers learn vital information about road trauma and how they can stay safer on the roads.
The annual Schoolies event is a chance for young people to blow off steam after a gruelling school year. There’s live music, socialising and (in Victor Harbor) SA Police will even provide free breath testing for Schoolies who want to check their blood alcohol levels. But Schoolies also carries some risks, particularly for road users.
With Schoolies coming up, we headed to Street Smart High to ask some experts how young people can stay safe on the roads.
