Whether you’ve had your driver’s licence for years or only attached P-plates to your car a few months ago, it doesn’t hurt to refresh your road rules knowledge.

Driver’s licence testing has changed over the years. Many experienced drivers recount stories of going for a drive with the local police officer before being handed their driver’s licence.

Nowadays, testing is more rigorous with a written component – which includes eight give-way questions and 42 multiple-choice questions – and then practical training.

We’ve adapted 10 questions from the current learner’s permit test, so take the quiz to find out if you’d get your Ls.

1. You drive up to an intersection with a stop sign but no painted stop line. Where must you stop?

A. Before entering the intersection

B. At least 5m before the intersection

C. At the point where you can see clearly
