Fighting hunger in SA

RAA and Foodbank are once again holding a food drive during Anti-Poverty Week.

Foodbank is the state’s largest food-relief organisation, providing food to more than 135,000 South Australians a month.

Since 2020, RAA has partnered with Foodbank to help fight hunger through events and activations, including the annual RAA Foodbank Food Drive.

This year’s Food Drive will run from 14–18 October, in line with Anti-Poverty week. RAA’s goal is to provide 30,000 meals to South Australians going hungry.

Non-perishable, non-expired goods can be donated at collection centres across the metro area, Nuriootpa and Mount Barker.

Since the partnership with Foodbank began, RAA’s Food Drive has delivered about 80,000 meals to those in need.

If you can’t make it to a collection point, donations of non-perishable, non-expired pantry items, as well as personal hygiene and household products, can be made at RAA Shops in Adelaide (Hindmarsh Square), Clare, Colonnades, Elizabeth, Kadina, Marion, Mile End, Modbury, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Port Lincoln, Renmark, Victor Harbor and West Lakes during October.

Monetary donations can be made through our Food Drive online. Each donated dollar provides two meals to someone in need.

Together we can help feed South Australians doing it tough.
